Dt. 06/11/2015Application in prescribed forms completed in all respects are invited form eligible law graduates with a minimum of 50% marks, relaxable by 5% secured in the examinations leading to LL.B. degree and will be received in the Department of Law on or before 16/11/2015. The University shall not be responsible for late receipt of application due to postal irregularities or any other reason.
Prescribed application forms with the prospectus can be obtained from the (1) Gauhati University publication Department ( GUPD) and (II) Gauhati University Information centre, WUS, Building, Ambari, Gauhati-1. on all working days between 11.00a.m.to 2.00 p.m. on payment of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three hundred) only. Admission Test Fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred) only will have to be deposited in the Department of Law, Gauhati University at the time of submission of forms.
Admission Test: The eligible candidates (to be notified in the Notice Board after scrutiny on 23/11/15) will have to appear in a statutory written Admission Test in Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Indian Penal Code and Current Legal Problems. The written Test will be held on 27/11/15 at 11.00 a.m. in the Law Department, Gauhati University. Details may be obtained from the Law Department.
The selection of candidates of admission to the LL.M. 1st Semester course will be made on the basis of their performance in the Statutory Written Admission Test. List of Selected candidates will be notified in the Notice Board of the Department of Law on as well as in the G.U. website www.gauhati.ac.in 14/12/2015 for admission on 18/12/2015. Classes will commence from 1st week of January.2016
